Catalyze and support community-level collaboration to improve behavioral health systems

Siloed systems of mental health care are common in small mountain communities, making access to care often more difficult. To catalyze and support community-level collaboration, KAF partners with local groups that are addressing mental and behavioral health challenges together. These efforts bring together local government, non-profits and businesses in order to make a meaningful impact on the challenges that mountain residents face. Mapping the current system of behavioral health programs is the first step to understand where gaps exist. Once these areas of opportunity are identified, communities create a multi-year strategic plan to address gaps collaboratively, and ultimately help local residents live their healthiest lives.
