Advancing Equitable Opportunities for Mental and Behavioral Health
Disparities and discrimination in our mental and behavioral healthcare system have led to inequities in access and care for those who are seeking support. Across the United States, failures to adequately fund our mental health system, to support community driven approaches, and address racism –including access issues – in our health care practices has stifled our ability to provide just and equitable opportunities for wellbeing.
Through our grantmaking and opportunities for shared learning the foundation will work to:
- Support narrative change and education to promote mental and behavioral health as a public health issue and increase access to community-based mental healthcare for BIPOC communities.
- Enable learning and collaboration among local leaders to develop and scale community driven mental and behavioral health practices.
- Invest in innovative strategies that increase access to high quality mental and behavioral health services.
