Improving Mental and Behavioral Health in Mountain West Communities Grantmaking Guidelines
The Katz Amsterdam Foundation and Charitable Trust provide support for mental and behavioral health efforts in western mountain resort communities. Recognizing that communities are best served when their advocates have a deep understanding of and experience with them, Katz Amsterdam strives to support 501(c)(3) charitable organizations that are community-based, community-driven and community-defined.
Grantmaking Guidelines
Katz Amsterdam strives to support mental behavioral health efforts in western mountain resort communities who are working collaboratively with strategic vision to:
- Address substance misuse prevention, intervention, and treatment
- Advance equitable access to mental behavioral health supports, including for communities of color
- Collect mental behavioral health data to understand changing needs and inequities
We hope our partners:
- Serve the needs of mountain resort communities in the western United States.
- Use a strategic vision and plan to close gaps and address opportunities to best support the mental behavioral health needs of their communities.
- Build sustainable and transformative change for systemically marginalized and under-resourced populations, including communities of color.
- Have leadership and staff who are committed to uplifting systemically marginalized populations.
- Engage with other KAF Network communities to share learnings and resources.
- Utilize the KAF Shared Measurement Framework Data Dashboard as a tool to further the work in their communities.
